Chapter Mascot
In October of 2005 the Board of Directors decided our chapter needed a mascot. We adopted a stuffed Armadillo wearing a white bandana reflecting the Alamo Chapter logo. Each chapter member received an armadillo as their chapter gift. Sadly our mascot did not have a name. A contest was conducted for the members to "Name our Mascot". This was the beginning of our new mascot named "Ally Mo". Now you will see Ally Mo in many places on our website. He shows up at times when you don't expect to see him, like during our NPW celebration each year and other Chapter functions. Ally Mo is a great addition to our chapter and has gained recognition for the being the first APA local Chapter mascot in the nation. |
